Apply - Press Brake Operator (Spencerport, NY)

Boss Precision Ltd. is a local sheet metal manufacturing company with over 30 years in the industry. Boss services various industries including: transportation, communications, medical, material handling and consumer equipment.

We are looking for a setup level Amada press brake operator. A skilled applicant should have the ability to set up and run various press brakes of multiple vintages and on a machine up to 250 tons.

Responsibilities Include:

• 2 years minimum experience on Amada press brakes preferred

• Minimum 1 year experience in a brake press environment

• Complete progressive setup of the machine which includes:

  • Tools, Dies or Fixtures

• Must be able to install, align and lock specific punches and gauges to form part to customer specifications on prints

• Able to work quickly, accurately & independently

• Must be able to read blueprints and be proficient in math

• All employees must have reliable transportation

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand with repeated lifting and bending for 8 to 10 hours a day

• Expected to have your own tools needed to complete jobs. Minimum Tool Requirements are:

  • Adjustable Wrenches

  • Allen Wrenches (Metric & Standard)

  • Basic Calculator

  • Dead blow hammer

  • Protractor

  • Square

  • Vernier or Caliper

A-Shift hours are M-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm, Fri 7:00am-3:30pm
Saturday 7:00am-12noon when required

*All new hires are expected to be available to work overtime if asked
